After doing much research of my own in the field on Internet Marketing and Home Businesses, I finally settled on Affiliate Marketing as the means by which I would

break into the flexible and sometimes volatile business world on the Internet. But before I tell you why I chose this path, let's first define exactly what Affiliate

Marketing is.

Simply put, Affiliate Marketing is the fine art of selling other people's stuff online. That's it. You sell products and services for the people who own them, and they, in turn, pay you a commission for doing so. I call this a 'fine art' for reasons that will be explored in a future article, but for now we'll deal strictly with the reasons why

this is probably the easiest way to get started. The following are what I believe to be the top six reasons why Affiliate Marketing is the easiest way to become involved with Internet Marketing.

1. There is no need to own your own product.

This is what Affiliate Marketing is all about. You don't need a product of your own to sell. There are thousand of merchants out there with a multitude of products and services that they would be happy to pay you for selling. It drastically cuts down on their advertising costs so some of them pay very generous commissions.

2. You don't have to store of ship products.

Since you are selling products for other merchants they are the ones doing the storing and shipping. When I send a visitor to my merchant's website and they place an order, the merchant ships the product. I just sit back and wait for the commission. That is definitely a sweet deal.

3. You don't have to have a shopping cart on your website.

You don't need to provide any means of accepting credit cards or procession payments either. With Affiliate Marketing, you simply endorse the product you are selling, and provide your visitor with a link (your unique affiliate's link) that will take him to the merchants page to complete the sale. Easy, right?

4. You can sell anything you want to.

There is virtually no limit to the wide variety of goods and services available to an Affiliate Marketer. Whatever you have a passion for, whatever you're interested in, rest assured that you can find numerous products to promote for others.

5. You make money while you're not even working.

One of the beautiful things about Affiliate Marketing is that once you have your website set up and tweaked you can easily put it on auto. Your merchants are the people who shop the product so you can sit back and relax and still make money. You will want to keep on eye on your website to make sure things are running smoothly, and you absolutely must add fresh content from time to time, but it's a real joy to get up in the morning, get your coffee, then site at your computer and check your stats. Yes, once again you find you have made money while you were getting your beauty sleep. Nice.

6. You usually don't have to deal with customer complaints.

A big plus, in my opinion, is that if a customer is not satisfied with the product they will usually go straight to the merchant to complain or request a refund. In rate cases, they may come back to your website and contact you through the information you provide there, that that is usually not the case. If they do come back to you, help them all you can. If you can't help them directly, you can be a liason between the customer and the merchant. You show goodwill that way and your customer will know that you do, in fact, care about their satisfaction.

So, these are the reasons that I am completely sold on Affiliate Marketing. If the number of people who sell other people's stuff online is any indication, then I know that I'm not alone. There are thousands of people online making money with this branch of Internet Marketing. If you are interested in a Home Business, you should really consider getting involved with Affiliate Marketing. I believe it's the easiest way to go.
